Extreme Nature Tours &
Travel is a family owned tour operator based in St Lucia South Africa,
run by brothers Charl Koen and Peter Koen. We both have backgrounds as
conservationists and worked as game rangers is several parks in South
Africa. We started this venture because this is what we love to do. The
more time we get to spend outdoors, the better, especially in an area
like northern KwaZulu Natal where there is such a concentration of
parks and protected wildlife areas and so many activities to do in the
area. The ocean is warm and clean here which also allows us to scuba
dive, surf and snorkel and also incorporate these activities into our
tours and safaris.
Our tour company in St Lucia started in 1998, doing only day trips, but since then we have evolved and now offer a huge variety of tours and safaris throughout Africa. We also offer a travel service where we arrange accommodation, routes and activities to ensure a smooth vacation in South Africa.
The reason we are the longest surviving tour operators in St Lucia is because we concentrate on quality of service, good guides, excellent food and special accommodation. We are also very flexible, allowing us to cater for the needs of a wide variety of traveler's needs.
Our infrastructure which we have build up over the years includes open safari vehicles, enclosed overland touring vehicles and 2 boats, used for water safaris and fishing adventures.
