How to get to the KZNCS
Sodwana camping site
The tar road from Hluhluwe to Mbazwane
town is now complete. From Mbaswana it is all tar to the entrance of
the Sodwana camping site.
Upon arrival at Mbazwane follow the signs, turning right through town
and right again at the T-junction from there it is another 13km of tar
to the main gate of Sodwana Bay National Park. We
recommend this route to all our visitors, as it is the safest and even
slightly quicker when coming from the north.
Pets are not permitted into the
Sodwana Camping Site.
The KNNCS Sodwana camping site
is managed by the wildlike department and is situated on top of a
vegetated sand dune immediately inland of Jesser Point. Of all the Sodwana
camping sites, this camping site is the closest
to the sea and the coolest in the summer because it is highest up.
