The Safari Experience

Your safari begins in St Lucia South Africa where the warm Indian Ocean meets the wetlands of iSimangaliso. The estuary is famous for hippos, crocodiles and birdlife and provides a relaxed introduction before the wildlife safaris begin.

The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park safari is conducted in open safari vehicles and offers excellent chances of seeing elephant, rhino, buffalo and many other species. Lion sightings are common and the park is internationally known for rhino conservation.

Crossing into Mozambique the scenery becomes more remote and tropical. The coastline offers warm clear water and opportunities to swim with dolphins or snorkel along the reefs depending on sea conditions.

Kosi Bay offers a completely different environment with crystal clear lakes and ancient raffia palm forests. Guided walks here sometimes reveal the rare Palmnut Vulture and other bird life unique to the region.

Seasonal highlights include turtle nesting and hatching tours between November and March and whale watching between June and November.
