Experience details

This 4 day safari gives you a genuine taste of KwaZulu-Natal: the wildlife-rich landscapes of Hluhluwe-iMfolozi, the relaxed village feel of St Lucia, and the bright, warm coast at Sodwana Bay. Expect early starts on safari days (best light, cooler temperatures and more animal activity), slower afternoons at the coast, and plenty of opportunities for photos along the way.

Seasonal variations matter. In hotter months, wildlife often moves early and late in the day; in cooler months, animals can stay active for longer. Turtle nesting walks are a natural event and are seasonal (typically Nov–Mar), so we treat it as an optional add-on rather than a guarantee.

FAQ

Is this 4 day safari private, and can you tailor it?

Yes. The itinerary is a strong example route, and we can tailor timing, accommodation style and optional extras around your dates, flight times and interests. Message your dates and group size and we’ll confirm what’s available.

When is the best time to add the turtle tour?

Turtle nesting/hatching walks are seasonal and typically run from November to March. It’s an optional extra because sightings depend on natural conditions on the night.

Do I need to be an experienced snorkeler for Sodwana Bay?

No experience is required for enjoying the beach and basic snorkeling, but sea conditions vary. If you’d like scuba diving, tell us in advance so we can help plan the best times.

Which airport should I fly to?

Richards Bay is convenient when available. Durban (King Shaka International) is a common option; pick-up can be arranged, and we’ll confirm timing and any extra transfer costs clearly before you commit.
